A short film project I initiated and managed called “Short Stays” with a collection of three short films shot by up and coming Chinese film directors.
I always wondered what happened behind closed hotel room doors – the narrative possibilities are endless. This sparked the idea for the project.
I had the opportunity to work with some of the best students from the Beijing Film Academy. This also offered a springboard to their professional film careers. Liu Jia Ying’s short made it to the Venezia Film Biennale 2012 shortlist.
